Welcome to the Land of Always Winter mafia faction!

Those of you that are part of the mafia faction and your roles are:

Dr. Monkey (aka heymonkey) - Jack of All Trades (1-shot Janitor modifier, 1-shot strong modifier, and 1-shot bonus kill)
Blargonaut - Roleblocker
Meatwad (aka briefs_cat) - Godfather and Night Kill Immune
Zookfoodle - Goon

In addition, all of you can submit the mafia night action of RECRUIT. The target must be a vanilla town character in order to be recruited. The recruit ability is only usable until the start of Day 3. You can also submit the mafia night kill using KILL and vote in the game thread.

You win when the mafia faction controls a majority of the vote.

You can submit your night actions in here if you'd like.

Since we received some questions I wanted to clarify something about the Recruit. It has the same restrictions as the mafia faction kill (e.g. it cannot be submit alongside your PR action unless you are the only mafia player left and only one of you may submit it per night).

I apologize - I guess I still didn't clarify it well.

You as a mafia team get one recruit attempt N1 and one recruit attempt N2 for a total of two recruit attempts. You can only recruit a max of one members - so if you succeed tonight, you will no longer be able to recruit tomorrow night. If you do not succeed in recruiting a member by D3 the ability is lost to your faction.

Maybe recruit Splinter, kill kitsunelaine and also maybe Muffin? Muffin had a solid day one.

My concern is that if Blarg's wrong here, killing kits could actually make him MORE suspicious and he just gets lynched over her today when maybe we could push her lynch. I doubt she's suddenly going to become less suspicious. She'll claim first and then we have a better reason to kill her. Then I would suggest we kill DCPat instead.

Yeah I agree let's not kill Kits as Blarg will definitely be on the chopping block in that case. DCPat is a good kill. I think we can go ahead and recruit Splinter he'll make an good addition to the team assuming we're successful. I'd hold off on using the bonus kill could be useful later

I'd argue my other abilities are more useful later and a double kill on the first night will have town hunting for a neutral or a vig - it will throw them off completely, and when there isn't another one (unless there IS a neutral or vig), they'll think they found something. I think it's a strong opening strategy.

And if there IS a neutral or a vig, better to use my extra kill early in case I get taken out.

That's my argument, anyhow.

I'll kill DCPat with my bonus. I'm good with Blarg recruiting. I am fine with him not RBing too, since it's a shot in the dark. I feel confident Faddy's got a role. If we don't recruit GoG, she might be another good one to block.

Any thoughts on Muffin as the other kill? I don't want to kill Faddy yet. Maybe tomorrow night.

I'll reiterate what I originally posted:

In essence the day restriction will prevent you from further attempts as opposed to a set shot limit.

Honestly, that being the case, I say maybe Faddy. Putting himself out there as a clear town leader may mean he's vanilla. I wanna look too and see if anyone seemed to kinda hold back. Regardless, we can use it as a test - anyone we can't recruit is a PR, neutral, or both. Faddy OR Muffin OR GoG would all be good potential targets (fine with Fantomas, too). If we don't recruit Muffin though, I still say let's kill him.

Sounds good to me, I say we kill muffin and try to recruit Faddy. It does seem reasonable that a VT would be more willing to stick their neck out like Faddy than a PR

I think it's an hour and a half into the day and a lot will depend on what happens today.

That said, I will not hesitate to bus any of you. We all need to establish consistency and stick to it. Look natural no matter what. and yes, take out Faddy and Splinter ASAP. If kits goes today, she goes; now it's in support of the team and I'm sure she'll be fine with that. But when she turns up, who knows? The tides of the thread may well turn.
