By the way, if the remaining scum doesn't post early on in this day phase, town could assume that they simply went inactive during then night phase and narrow it down to players who haven't posted yet.

...I guess it was intentional, but giving town an extra day just to get people to distrust Vere seems to be an extremely bad play. The lynch train for him has stopped a while ago.

It'd confirm AB (a super scummy player otherwise) as town, and scum doesn't want that because everyone else who'd be left after he kills AB the next night would be very much town-read except for Chuggernaut, who'd likely be lynched before MYLO anyways.

But... he should've killed Godfather. He's publicly known as the double lyncher and would not affect Vere's status, and it wouldn't have given town an extra day.

Scum is trying to pin his win on Vere getting lynched, which is just not going to happen. Especially now that Dr. Monkey is here to give people a wake-up slap if they ever venture down that route again (assuming she takes in everything she's reading as she goes through the thread).

Kits is also making sense but she's actually wrong about scum having "no reason to not kill". I mean, as far as I can tell, a reason exists, it's just not good lol.

EDIT:
Actually, Chuggernaut may have accidentally exposed TWE there. Chuggernaut has an excuse to not know how the tracker PR works because he's new, but TWE concurred with his reasoning despite being a veteran player. That's the opening town needs!

Yeah Fanto has done great this game. His reads haven't been the best - and I hope he won't be too down about that, but he's done a great job of moving things along and help town solve the game.

Reads are as much luck as judgement, the rest is good town play.

He is really good at mafia in general. I still remember Pineapple Pizza mafia where we two were trying to crusade town towards lynching scum, but rest of town were just "naaaahhh" :P.

TMBG is looking to become a town victory unless they majorly screw up.

Talking about late subs and changing the game... Kawl waltzes in and almost creates disaster because he didn't read anything. A credible town core at work to hunt scum and the rest of town doesn't give a shit.

Fep should be lynch target #1 tomorrow, will be interesting to see who he targets though.
Will he be revealed to be town or just the override and the rest of the players will have to decide if that was a town or scum override?

It’s a tough thing to decide. Ultimately given some of the other incidents we didn’t modkill over it seemed cheap to modkill now when it would be even more impactful to the outcome. If there was a more fleshed out guideline on if/when a modkill should happen for inactivity that would’ve been different. Ultimately I get the feeling there was nothing we could do this game to make most players happy. It’s been rough, I hope at least some of the players had fun.

It is a bit play by ear. I'm considering adding a rule to my game regarding late game replacements being seriously considered for modkills.

- meh I was having fun, for the most part, for the short period I was able in anyway :(

Was ready to see if I turned someone’s religion. To not get lynched and play the lil mini game of find the religion T_T. I don’t think mafia ever had plans to kill me, since monkey thought I could be weaponized.

All that was snatched by a worshipper of the seven gods.

Probably dependent on the game runner and if the clarification was needed due to it being counter to the standard rules or if it’s just a weird situation. In this example I would expect instead to see a modified win con instead for mafia but who knows.

Some, I’m sure it will be discussed post-game. Yeah, the neutrals both got screwed pretty early. RIP. Glad you enjoyed your very brief time in the game lol

yeah that rule TWE made up is bad, and hasnt been done before.

It's also dumb. If you got a BP to lylo, you don't nullify it, since it's usually luck/good play to get there.

I was surprised as well, but it was a decent move because if a lynch ever got pushed on him it could easily backfire due to the override. Obviously they didn’t have justification that was quite that good..but still.

I remember mentioning something along the veins of that in Marvel Mafia when talking about my Death Faker ability. It basically went like "you cannot activate this ability if it will lose town the game".

Of course, it helped that I was able to immediately prove I had such an ability. This was also mentioned separately from my role PM.

Nah. He laid out a direct path to victory here and I don't see any reason for town to waver from that, even if it takes 3 Day phases.

By the way, if people think about things logically then AB is the most confirmed town player ever. If Vere is town, AB is town. If Vere is scum, AB is town.
