Soo, the usuals:

what ya think of the state of the game right now?
top non-somewhat-obvious town, top scum?
are you scum and why not?

i dunno what a boat says :(

sploosh sploosh

hmm it could be that

sploosh sploosh goes the boat! yaaay. :3

I'm still catching up on the day right now, but no, I'm not scum. Pirate Bae green checked me in some way, and seeing as I know I'm town, that does check out to me.

boring answer

But it is true. Not a good play to fake things like that as a meanie. So Bae is likely town. So her check is likely true. So you are likely a Godfather.

i have you now

About to zzz soon, considering if I have the patience to think about Faddy before that. Alternatively running through Natiko / Neeks / Monkey bussing argument a bit but that I'd think takes a lot of time so that might be for tomorrow. And tomorrow is already today, hmph.

Game state is neutral imo. Could be slightly positive if all the claims on board are what they say and town, that could be a mountain of confirmed / semi-confirmed townies for scum to climb. The game composition hasn't been that much of a topic in the main thread, don't recall any specific guesses about what the twist is with a game of this size. We are missing kills, what makes me think that we could have a biiig scum team is and all the roles are various x-shot things, where x is not that much at all. Backups would fit nicely into that. But balance is balance.

I don't know why you should trust me. I haven't really caught on what it is that you are looking for that determines whom you view as town and whom as scum. All I can really offer are my posts, of questionable logical quality and my votes, which don't really tell much. Think on those and draw your conclusions.

That is a fair point and one I've been wondering about. If the scum team is larger than normal, then the power of that backup role does get a bit riskier on whether it'll manage to give them a power that still has uses or not. Two nights in a row of only a single kill leads me to believe that if there is another killing role out there, neutral or otherwise, they're beefing it big time. Either that or we'll just wake up one morning to a silent arsonist going crazy. Now that's balance!

What I look for in town vs scum is mainly whether the person is trying to solve the game. Even in my own head, it's a bit vague what exactly that means, and it's not like scum aren't going to be putting up that appearance at times, so I read over things a whole lot and confuse myself really! Faddy is interesting, and I am going to look pretty closely at him and I'll probably post thoughts in the thread there.

If all of these claims are true, then yeah, I'd say that things are looking pretty good for town, especially since it seems like scum are aiming for people that are town-read but not confirmed like Cabot. They're looking for something or they're scared of protection I suppose.

Given that this will be here during the night too, I'd love to hear more about your, well, everything.

Of course, on the condition that Faddy flips as scum.

if not we can exchange dank banter here

So, my basic thoughts on all of this are, scum didn't know who the doctor was, but they knew there was one because I'm somehow amazing at this role and blocked them both nights for something. If they were going to use anyone to try and bait me out, Faddy with his bomb role was the best choice, so it makes sense that he dove into that now despite there being a chance that he wasn't going to be lynched. It's unfortunate that we lost someone to the bomb, but it's really best that happened now and not later in the game.

Cabot was a strong town read on Day 1 just for the way he was handling everything, so I took a chance on protecting him. Protecting PIrate Bae just felt like the obvious choice, she was green checking me, and while her flip would only confirm me further, we didn't know the full details of her role, and there was a chance that we could get more information from her. It makes sense that scum would target her that night, and the roleblock was likely backup in case of a doctor protecting her. They already knew that one existed from the failed kill on Cabot, so they were being thorough since she was valuable and it was important to ensure that she couldn't green or red check anyone else in the game, since there were already so many claims out there in the wild semi-confirming people.

Scum knew of a doctor if they have additional kills. What now is more possible than before I'd say because BP + Doc + Commuter is a lot of protection. Losing someone to the bomb was always gonna happen, on one had it was sad that we lost a BP, on the other hand that helps the discussion for tomorrow. Now we just have to decide if Flux is to be trusted or not, what I think is not even that much of a question at this point. D2 end does not feel, to me, scum v scum.

So really, will there be two kills, is the thing to look for. I'd like to hear your eventual protection target so I can pass it on to the thread. That could matter in determining how many kills are out there. The chance that you die is very high. One thing of course that could happen is that they kill us both. Not impossible, what I don't like saying.

I am not confident in fully embracing the narrative that Faddy was telling us what happened with scum kill: block and kill Pirate Bae. But I think there is a good chance AB is scum and I think he's been narrating the scum thread in the main thread as well sooooooo. It is fun idea and I've done that as scum as well and I know others do it too but it is so hard to prove.

Your targets make sense and I don't think there is any reason to doubt your towniness. If you choose to trust me with your protection target, do not tell it before the commands are locked. Or try to juke me to see if pass it along to my scum friends. Your choice regardless.

It's a large game, so scum having 2 kills a night does seem about right. It's likely that maybe someone like the Godfather is the one capable of the 2nd kill, so things might get easier for town later on despite losing some of these protections early.

I'm not entirely sure who I'll protect yet. I do have some considerations I make, but I'm definitely going to sleep on it before making a decision. While their plan might be to kill both of us, I'm not entirely sure that's what they'll aim for. I think they'll want to aim for people who have already claimed at this point and cut down on the powers that they know can hurt them or are getting in their way. So, me? Yeah, I'm likely a goner, but at least it won't be to a mislynch from my strange gambit going wrong! I'm really lucky that Pirate Bae stepped in there, I was worried about having to claim on that day.

D2 green check is on paper a very unimpressive play but it has so far had quite the ripple effect. It had its part in two scum kills.

The decision has been made. I'm likely dead tonight, but hopefully I can still get a 3 for 3 just to really stick it to them! Good luck with the rest of the game and I hope town can catch the rest of them soon! There's still a roleblocker and whoever is responsible for the 2nd kills every night, so at least 2 more to go! If they ignore me for whatever reason, I'll still be around to keep being a pain in their side

I'll run the logic for two cents. RB Bae is a certainty. You block kills, Bae clears townies or kills scum. That is to say, it is fair to assume that you only block certain kills from being available while Bae can produce harmful information regardless who she hits.

The faction kill goes to... you. Self-saving is rare and there is no reason to believe you can do that based on the flips so far. If there is a second kill, I'd kill Fran with it. Bae can be controlled with RB and trying Flux risks a miss because commuter moves early in the priority. Fran a step away from a confirmed townie and is a strong hunting voice to boot. Though since cops suck for meanies, it is not impossible that they'd kill Bae with the second kill as an alternative.

Hoping for the best.
