Yeah, it was kind of sudden, you wouldn't have been my target at least with the array of better choices.
The list of better choices, if on a scroll, would unroll to significant length. Not a knock against you, Kalor, just that there were kills that would have better achieved the stated aim, but then again, the way everyone's reacting, I guess it will all work out?

If we could all universally agree not to adopt the MU-style language marked by:

and the like, then I would be pleased, because so much of that is always, always underscored by bad fucking takes and mafia should be about reevaluating and not dying on your hill of ignorance

I would also like them because I don't really feel like sharing any of my shitty reads in here anymore and because I would like to be able to just sit back and observe how the full Scum team goes about their business in the thread so that maybe I can finally learn a thing or two about how to actually find Scum for once. I tend to get mood swings (in case you all haven't noticed by now lol) and I wasn't feeling very good earlier, and was probably interpreting some posts in some wrong ways.
I am really excited to see how the rest of the game plays out now.

I’m hopeful that next phase will be a bit more lively after that day end being all over the place. I will say had a different person been day killed we would’ve really been in for some fireworks. It was close to being submitted too.

I wanted to be sure. If i hit evil, which i assumed was scum, i'd die. Was saving it for when we had someone valuable to protect, like a cop. Succeeding in shielding someone or getting NK ends up being the same anyway.

Anyone you targeted and didn’t die targeting would be confirmed town. You could have breadcrumbed your selections or just claimed openly after targeting enough people you felt were likely to be town.

Your role had a dual purpose. You could use it as a weak cop to confirm people as town, and you could also use it to protect people you felt had a more important PR.

There aren’t really many roles that were better than yours for town though. One of them couldn’t even activate without your death (Vere).

It's not the easiest role to understand, you kind of have to put 2 and 2 together on your own if you aren't already familiar with the concept of the "weak" modifier. I saw it in my first game, which was also made by Natiko, and it also had a backup for that role...

Disagree that the role is a hider instead of a bodyguard.
No need to feel bad. The game wasn’t designed such that town is doomed without info from your role.
I think it’s a fun concept okay :(
I would say that you'd strategize like a hider but hiders are so often neutral, so there's a twist here and that twist is what brings in the cop/bodyguard aspect. I think it's neat. I like creative roles (as y'all may have noticed, cough cough).

Plus a kill targeting the bodyguard during their action wouldn’t whiff. In general I think I just really like making weak, quasi cops. They’ve died very early in both of my games so far though :(

This is a good point. A lot of people are just shadowing. At a guess, most of the scum team is among the lowest posters. Town has been on the wrong paths since the beginning.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of it, but the game has a weird vibe to it that I can't quite put my finger on. It just feels like they aren't really getting anywhere I guess? Lack of votes is probably part of that feeling.

Yeah, the activity and engagement this game has been very disappointing. Second game, second time coming away feeling down. Probably still going to power through with the tentative two games I have bubbling in the background, but who knows after that.

For what it's worth, I still look back on GoT very fondly regardless of the activity/replacement issues. That was one of the most fun games I've played in and I thought the religion mechanic was really cool and unique, I haven't seen anything close to how that worked since then.
