The ITA's really screwed you over, Stu was going to be the lunch train or at least a contender for sure, but the 24 hour limit on both abilities took you down. That was both a fun and frustrating game. Wish I got to stick around longer but I wasn't expecting to meet my condition even if I did live longer.
I was genuine with everything I posted near the end or even during the whole game, which I understand why people in the thread are dismissing it now but still a bummer. Even my desire for people to vote is something I feel I always do, even if people don't notice it. I do think this game was my breaking point just in terms of meta. Being scumread from the same people and it never changing from game to game is just incredibly frustrating at this point. Then it happened with other people like Sorians death being entirely due to meta and nothing to do with the game. I don't know. I definitely had a moment on day 1 where I felt like I was done with the community because it's basically every game where people try to throw meta reads onto me that I know are inaccurate.
It is great to see the bomb work at least. I thought that was going to be a bad choice but the ITAs and people holding back their votes meant today would have been tough anyway.
Also at least like three people saying I shot Stu when I clearly shot Zipped. And I'm the one who was apparently not reading the thread.
Honestly? Feel free to switch the kahlua, I recommend Rompope (Eggnog), Baileys, crreme the menthe or if you just don't want alcohol on it, coffee syrup or vanilla. Also loving all the cooking talk, that pie sounds good but I'd probably change the Kahlua (and Salva will probably shout heresy).
Nah he did reason it, Natiko said it was to get reads depending on who shot who.Aaand there it is.
Would be a hell of a gamble to copy a chat as Scum and then invite the two highest town read players into it but not impossible I guess.
Nat is more of a gut than anything as his posts always seem so reasonable.
Think someone said it in here but I don't think anyone pushed for why Nat used his ITA yesterday? That would be something to know.
It was something that really bothered me but I took at as a chance to try and get more bold reads out there. If I was to guess I probably achieved Blarg's/nin's status of not getting suspected until the late game, when our weirdo playstyle gets countered by hard evidence.Nothing related to you being replaced
I just always have the feeling of players who are safe from being lunched being scum, and I feel no one has really pushed you for some time, I think
Yeah I'm not sure what he's doing either, but there's no way he's going to convince everyone she is scum.I honestly can't tell if malus is trying to get people to scum read monkey or not. He keeps poking at her like that but not going all the way with the read.
I actually was going to post something more spoilery but what is the fun in that?
Honestly whenever you want. The Review Team crew is the one to contact for when you have a game ready to be looked at so I'd recommend contacting Fireblend. So I'm convinced that I want to do the next role madness role, where can I work on it so I can be supervised and I don't go mad with power?
Sweet, the idea is similar to Hunter X Hunter, but is based on One Piece.
Sounds cool, but if all players make a role then all you gotta do is lay out the basic rules of making. I know little One Piece but I think different fruit=different power so that's what you'll do instead of nens right?Sweet, the idea is similar to Hunter X Hunter, but is based on One Piece.
Eveyone gets to make a role, but all of them get randomly assigned after they are made. They may also be tweaked and balanced depending if they land on scum, neutral or town. Players have to make a role with this in mind.
So all players will start with the idea of one other role that is in the game, and that the role they have belongs to someone else. And they can choose if they want to reveal that information or not, while also having to be careful not to reveal too much about their roles so other players can figure them out.
Lore-wise, its based on the ability of a character Named Trafalgar Law, who is a pirate surgeon that can eat the Op-Op Fruit, as in operation fruit, so can switch the "souls" of characters. And in this game, he did just that. So lore-wise everyone is trapped in another body.
First, welcome to Spec! And thanks for the advice, I'd definitely prefer to keep alcohol out of the recipe.Honestly? Feel free to switch the kahlua, I recommend Rompope (Eggnog), Baileys, crreme the menthe or if you just don't want alcohol on it, coffee syrup or vanilla.
He's probably frustrated. I'd be too. It's super hard to argue against two of the best players in the community when they're thinking similarly and pushing back as if they were working in tandem. And they have good points too, so almost anything malus says won't outweigh these in the eyes of Montiko. Kind of like D1 of Sawneeks in Conspiracy 2. Something unexpected would need to happen, like Dubs flipping town, for them to completely reassess that case.Yeah I'm not sure what he's doing either, but there's no way he's going to convince everyone she is scum
Yeah I agree. It can be very hard trying to convince people, especially when they are pretty convinced on you. The good news is that he seems to be responding more and more active, so I hope he keeps trying to convince people. Like I said earlier, I hope that him and others keep going and put up a fight scum or town, because at least they can say they tried if they still end up on the lunch menu. He's probably frustrated. I'd be too. It's super hard to argue against two of the best players in the community when they're thinking similarly and pushing back as if they were working in tandem. When you're in a bad spot and your days seem numbered, you have to play defense half the time and any cases you make in the other half will be given way less attention than if you were being town-read.
Then you have the fact that malus has a low-posting style. The less you post/the shorter your posts are, the harder it is for people to naturally trust you. And then when malus posts two lines, they get back at him with paragraphs and paragraphs of why he's wrong, which is demoralizing.
Like, I know you need to keep trying, but it's super hard to care/pretend to care in that situation. malus has been doing some nice work this phase though, so I do hope he doesn't give up!
Totally agree here. Malus is really trying to put up a good fight, and I kind of hope the others are willing to actually listen to him, but the way Monkey is focusing on him I'm not so sure that will happen >>If i'm allowed to steal monkey's words; big respect to Malus' hustle right here. The questions he is throwing back at Monkey/Nat are really good in trying to paint himself as a town bus and not a scummie who was at death's door. Trying to use that vote movement and other's actions to 'clear' himself is great. The lack of a good alternative to what happened is what's giving me pause on him being Townie in this (plus his previous actions) since I feel like a Townie would start pointing fingers when they almost got hit. Malus seems to not want to step on toes or just try to weave in doubt about monkey.
But suspiciously not Nat.
...I'm never gonna trust Nat until he flips, watch.
It was a bad post... I should have been clearer about specifically talking about comparing Star Trek episodes and Code of Honor while indeed racist is not really any more racist than a whole bunch of other episodes. Which I think is a valid point when discussing which episode is the most reprehensible...Damn, 3 months. Feels a bit much but w/e
I think it is really strange. It could be a power to commute for the day. Otherwise it is very bad manners by Dubs to just ignore the game/mod for a whole day phase but I guess you can never really know what someone's IRL circumstances are.I'm surprised Dubs hasn't popped in even once.
Nah, monkey's actions and demeanor say more for her alignment than her claim. She is never this uncertain as scum and, paradoxically, as town she goes hard in on reads despite her uncertainty. A scum monkey does more 'hmmm, I don't knooowww'.I don't get how people believe muffin is scum, he is 100% town for me. He revealed his power in the first chat, he talked about it when sawneeks put it out there, he got visibly shaken by how bad the role was received, and he is putting forward decent opinions that go against the current narrative monkey just took over.
There is no evidence monkey is town, and even less for Natiko for that matter but everyone just keeps assuming they both have to be town because they gave everyone guns that has less of a chance to kill than getting one particular number in a dice roll.
And there is no denying monkey did force that tie.
I was convinced that monkey was town with her first post of the day, but I was going out guns blazing if the focus wasn't there.Nah, monkey's actions and demeanor say more for her alignment than her claim. Oh no I totally agree with you on Nat lol. But this is also if either of them are scum. It's entirely possible they are a town powerhouse right now.I was convinced that monkey was town with her first post of the day, but I was going out guns blazing if the focus wasn't there.
And if Moneky is not the scum of the two, then it has to be Natiko. I made a whole post about it that monkey dismissed as conspiracy theories.
He only steals from dead people. And he stole your role as Thresh.Fran out of curiosity if I was still alive and dubs copied my role would we share the same thresh account? Or does he only steal from dead people?
Or everyone ignores that part and Monkey still hard trusts Nat. :pYeah, and if natiko hadn't shot him, whoever killed malus would have died instead.
This will make Natiko look baaaaaaad.
Vere wasn't any more or less town read than you tbh. I think the answer probably lies in Verelios' reads.but....why would scum kill Vere...
unless they did kill malus?
now i'm confused.
If Nat was scum he would know for sure Malus was either neutral or town, so there is no downside to shooting him, since he was already suspected. Shooting him also made malus useless (As malus said), and town already had malus in their lunch list anyway. So, by all accounts, no one would want to waste a kill on malus if he was already nerfed and town would lunch him anyway.Ooooof. I will gladly eat my words in regards to Malus. Good save.
Or everyone ignores that part and Monkey still hard trusts Nat. :p
But this would assume Nat knew Malus' power and it's not like he wasn't scum read imo
There's been so much this game I completely forgot about that. Nevermind, hitting Vere makes sense.Wait. Verelios was greenchecked by stu.
I can't speak for A's role but mine should not have been able to get a Godfather into the mix. Fran can chime in on that if he wants but the way it is written should exclude anyone non-town.I think putting Verelios in a different section from Flush and Donna is sort of strange from the perspective that I would assume a Godfather role would in the pool of people given to Aeleus and Sawneeks.
tbh I just assumed you two mindmelded so hard that outside help wasn't needed to make you that in sync. kinda sad that isn't the case :'(2fast4me. So, I can confirm this as well. If anyone was wondering how Monkey and I managed to wink and nod our way through the B-Dubs chat and come out on the other side in lockstep without having explicitly discussed it in front of B-Dubs now you know why.
