This game has been pretty hilarious so far. XD

Salva's fake command caused a lot of chaos, everyone was obsessed with the map before they focused on mafia, and some no fun police are trying to get people to not actually play risk.

It's all so good.

Seeing as I know little (by which I mean nothing at all) about Risk, I expect that much of my time following the game is going to be spent smiling, nodding and saying 'yes' to the moves getting made. Who knows, though, perhaps I'll start getting the idea in the end?

Risk is one of those games with 100s of different variants and huge number of house rules so I don't think it's possible to truly understand it.

TLDP is anyone trying to control europe or asia early game is playing a losing battle.

So there's some discussion here that jman's actions could be scum cover and I think that's incorrect - in fact, I think the reaction is what's really scum cover, the move of everyone voting for him because he's a liability. Yes, if there's someone you think may be a liability, d1 is a good day to do that, except it gives scum an opportunity to easily agree with town and to look town.

Point is, scum is unlikely to do this kind of move because of exactly what's happening to jman.

Plus those early votes could potentially be handy for planting a seed of doubt on Jman that scum could tease out further on, should they want town to bump him off later. "Remember when Jman made that Alaska move?..."

Hello. Good day 1.

I'm disappointed of the policing of the Risk portion of the game. There should be more attacking and pressure put on people by removing their territories. Extra kills are going to be one of the pivotal factors in the game. Sad to see it. Hopefully we get more agressive Risk play today.

There was decently sized game where I think I was coming in a little cocky after a game that went well before and I ended up spending that whole game just fucking everything up. Ended up spending entire day phases trying to convince people I wasn't scum instead of actually hunting scum. Claimed BP under pressure which did not go over well and then ended up blowing myself by voting last on a scum bomb which was probably the best exit I could have asked for tbh.

Anyway my point is that you have games where you just don't play well. It happens. Best advice I have is to just do your best to learn from it and do better next time.

I have a feeling the game is very divisive, half the players aren't having fun because of the risk portion and the rest do.

Yeah, Nat feels like his scumself so far. Can't pin it down, but the tone and aggressivity are similar to our last scum game together. That's also why Kyan's shitpost caught my attention, that's how he would greet his scummate. Maybe.

Jman neutral egg agent is too convenient, but who knows sometimes a stick is a stick. He'd be targeted by town if anything last night? And now you'd have to look at who's not talking about the egg, but with 20 something players...

I don’t think Fanto is scum here. Reads like town pointed in the wrong direction. I think both Fanto and Launch would not be good kills for town

He is drawing some wrong conclusions but he has the right idea about the rules.

From memory I think there are town roles who can also potentially defeat a general in the night which is why rule 2 does not just say mafia factional kill.

I don’t think that was good move by Polter, but I really don’t think he’s scum. This just seems like typical Polter doing some wacky shit. Got to agree with Fanto here.

Town needs to get it’s shit together though. Like if they end up getting a town flip and then go back to “I don’t know maybe Launch?” they are not going to be in a fun spot.

Agree on Wee, but I'm not so sure about Blarg. Will have to see how he plays in the coming days, but so far he's not as helpful as usual Town!Blarg, but I guess he's also not completely incomprehensible.

Yami Yugi was going to be in the game but I made Geno put in boring old Cleopatra instead.

Loving that we are finally getting some Risk gameplay going.

Polter still has a trick up his sleeve. Although I think he is going to be even more scum read if he gets to use it. Fanto said that Polter is town so he could be safe for the day.
