alright quick notes:

  • I did a Miller without a cop in Brexit Mafia, it wasn't well received. How would the masons work? Would they both be told they're Town still? I'd probably advise against this in general, as I think people will just complain and Millers have continually debilitated players when they roll as them
  • The doctor is far too weak considering it is doing a jack-of-all-trades heal (Poison and normal, also countered by Strongman). Suggestions are removing the no-consecutive heals rule, adding a backup doctor, or limit poison to 1 or 2 shots
  • Need to do the maths but there's a lot of extra deaths that could happen here. I'll come back to this once I get actual numbers
  • Treestump is interesting, and novel. It's novel for a reason though, if you hit a vanilla Townie for instance, it makes the game fairly pointless for that player. I would advise against it, it's negative utility to the point of no fun.

Will remove the consecutive heals restrictions

Only extra death I think is vig, poison is considered the factional kill, just delayed (ie poisons on N1 means no death D2, then a regular kill on N2 means two deaths D3). I'm considering just folding the strong kill into that

Treestump just "saves" a townie who would otherwise be lynched, they can just keep playing if they'd like. Maybe I should change the implementation so the stumper can pick post-lynch? Would need a good excuse to delay spec thread tho

Might be worth a second opinion then. Do people really care about living super long?
Maybe I'm too jaded

I kinda assume everyone in a game should be prepared to stick with it to the bitter end, since they might end up doing so

Maybe let people decline the offer and keep the shot?

Hold off for now, think yeeny is still looking for a second overseer. We shall see what they say.

You gonna keep the mason millers?

I'll get more feedback, I guess

I wanted to do it to make the Masons more delicate about claiming, since they basically add two town-confirms to the game. it's a loony claim that sounds like it could come from scum.

it's possible but the role is there usually when theres no cop or a weaker cop, so it sort of balances itself.

The claim might be novel enough to in itself act as a town confirm. Though thats for the players to decide.

1. Talk to me about the reflexive dorito vendor
2. Talk to me about how the poisoner functions, you call it factional so it's replacing the mafia kill?

In a 23 player game there are 9 players that aren't a power role (that's including the goon). How do you expect this game to be played?

Reflexive Dorito vendor triggers a mod message to anyone who visits them with "you got a Dorito." mostly innocuous, but it can help in confirming actions sometimes

the Poisoner would carry out the mafia kill, yes

not sure what you're getting at by the last question

I want to apologize for taking so long to respond. You have a lot of power roles and a lot of them are very 'cute' but I don't think they necessarily lend themselves towards a rewarding game for players as a whole or the people who get these roles. My suggestion would be to prune back on things like the dorito vendor and the poisoner when you already have a strongman kill available to mafia.

I would agree with trimming the PRs, you're looking at 50% of your players to be vanilla, which is 11.

You're currently on 8.

I'd ditch the Miller Masons (as said), if you wanted to keep it cheeky, you could make them neighbours instead where they don't have each other's alignment confirmed.

I personally don't see much worth in the treestump, so would ditch that as well.

As for the Dorito guy, maybe tweak it to an item vendor. Giving it agency would counter the bus driver if his item was redirected somewhere else.

Knowing more details on the Poisoner, it doesn't seem particularly useful. Maybe switch it out with a x-shot Roleblocker?

I'm ok with it aside from one thing:

- I think the two-shot ninja is OP on scum side, considering the dorito vendor can mess up the track results, as well as the switcher on the scum side.

I'm debating between one-shot or dropping it completely. Those would be my recommendations.
